Everything seemed fine until I got the dreaded lightening bolt warning indicating an issues with the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC). So far that was the only issue was the ETC warning light would come on and.. There is no denying the strength of the Cherokee 3.0 CRD engine, which has a strong torque output and a high top speed. Thus, these factors ensure the reliability of this engine. On the other hand, The company has a strong support network, and the parts are readily available; From this perspective, Cherokee 3.0 CRD is a reliable engine.

I have a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 3.0 CRD and it has never missed a beat all the time I have owned it. I went to start it the other day after it sitting for a week or so and it started up no problems, run for around 3 seconds then cut out and now wont turn over to start.
