Our York Rotary Dragon Boat Challenge 2024 will take place on Sunday July 14th on the River Ouse. We’re raising funds for a wide range of local charities chosen by teams, our nominated charity. York Samaritans, and our York Rotary Charity Fund Entries for the 2024 Challenge are now closed – click here to contact us. Date: Sunday 9th July. Location: River Ouse. Ged Bell are rowing for us once again in this year’s Dragon Boat Race! The team is looking to reach (and surpass!) the goal of £1500, so please give what you can for a great cause. Two thirds of the money raised will go towards York Against Cancer, with the rest split between York Rotary’s.

Volunteer Fundraisers needed
The 2023 Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival expects to attract 20,000 viewers a day to the shores of Meadow Lake in New York City’s Queens district on Aug. 12-13, making it among the largest.. Our 2024 festival will be scheduled for August 3 and 4 at Meadow Lake, Flushing Meadow Corona Park. With 2024 being a year of the (wood) dragon, legend has it that the divine animal’s good fortune will be sprinkled upon all, and dragons signify good luck, strength and power. Everything that you will need to be successful in dragon boat racing.
